When Romanian families planned their summer holidays in 2026, many looked beyond the room rate. Cable car tickets, bike hire, supervised activities for children and a day trip can quickly add up. Ana Hotels took those costs into account when it introduced two Family Time packages, one in the mountains of Poiana Brașov and the other on the Black Sea coast in Eforie Nord.
In Poiana Brașov, time together and a little time to yourselves
At Ana Hotels Sport Poiana Brașov, the Family Time package gave everyone room to enjoy the holiday at their own pace. While children played games, tried creative activities or settled in for a film at the supervised Kids Club, parents could spend a quiet afternoon at the spa or explore the area by bike. Bike hire was included for the whole family, and the film selection featured The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Dumbo, Inside Out, Wonka and Paddington in Peru.
One outing the whole family could enjoy together was a cable car ride up the Postăvarul Massif. Each guest received a return ticket, with sweeping views over Poiana Brașov along the way. Back at the hotel, there was time for a swim, a soak in the outdoor hot tub or Jacuzzi, or a visit to the saunas. The package also included a €30 spa voucher per room per night and 15% off additional spa treatments. With late check-out at 4 pm, families could enjoy one last unhurried afternoon before heading home.
The offer ran until 6 September 2026 for stays of at least three nights, with breakfast and dinner included. Guests could also pay with Romanian holiday vouchers.
In Eforie Nord, a day out in Dobrogea and a stroll along the Nibiru promenade
At Ana Hotels Europa in Eforie Nord, the Family Time package included something a little different for a seaside holiday: a choice of three day trips. Each gave families a chance to leave the hotel grounds and discover a different side of Dobrogea.
- Adamclisi and Rasova Winery. Families could visit the fortress at Adamclisi, stop at Rasova Winery and enjoy lunch at a traditional local fish restaurant.
- Constanța Old Town and the Black Sea. A guided walk through the historic centre was followed by a wine tasting and a boat trip on the Black Sea.
- Argamum Fortress and Cape Doloșman. This outing combined a visit to the ancient fortress with views from Cape Doloșman, a traditional fish lunch and a boat ride along the Danube channels.
Back in Eforie Nord, the package included free access to the Nibiru promenade, use of the hotel-managed pool and beach, and 15% off spa treatments and dining at the hotel restaurant. Early check-in and late check-out were also available, subject to availability.
The seaside offer ran until 5 September 2026 for stays of at least three nights. As in Poiana Brașov, guests could pay with Romanian holiday vouchers.
What the two packages tell us about family holidays
The two offers reflected a wider shift among Romanian hotel groups in summer 2026. Hotels were taking on more of the planning that usually falls to parents, from finding activities the children would enjoy to organising a day out together. For families comparing holiday budgets, knowing that the cable car ride or the excursion was already covered made the cost of the trip easier to judge. It also left parents with a little more time to enjoy the holiday themselves.
