Ana Hotels Ski School
Founded in 1895, Poiana Brasov started as a tourist area for the city of Brasov. The first building was raised in 1904 and in 1906 Poiana Brasov officially became a ski resort. Only three years later, the ski resort hosted the first Ski competition ever held in Romania.
As part of the Carpathian Mountains, Poiana Brasov also known as the Valey of the Sun is perceived to be the leading ski resort in Romania.
It is located at over 1000 meters and it is formed of 12 slopes with different difficulty levels with natural and/or artificial snow. So why not breathe some fresh air and enjoy the magnificent view of trees covered with heavy snow while skiing or snowboarding. For a different kind of thrill we offer ATV trips around the resort.
The Ana Hotels Ski School represents the continuous heritage of the Poiana Brasov Ski School, a tradition running for over 40 years. It is the biggest Ski & Snowboard School in Romania with professional instructors, qualified by the National Association of Professional Ski Instructors in Romania, and the National Association of Sport Guides In Tourism, affiliated ISIA.
We have permanently worked for the continuous improvement of our instructors, creating a symbol of quality. The school not only has a vast experience in working with all types of tourists, groups and individuals, but also all of our 148 instructors speak at least a foreign language.
As part of the ceremony ‘’Partners in Excelency’’, an event held by Thomas Cook – Neilson, Ana Hotels Ski & Snowboard School was awarded for 7 consecutive years as the best Ski & Snowboard School. This award was given in a competition between 78 schools worldwide. Each year, over 10.000 people benefit from our services, both from group and individual lessons.
As a result of the impressive number of instructors, our school is a symbol on the slopes in Poiana Brasov. Ana Hotels Ski & Snowboard School is continuously investing in the quality of staff in both image and services.
The high level of training, the constant communication between instructors, the equipment and specially designed uniforms make ANA Hotels Ski & Snowboard School a symbol of quality and safety.
For the practice of winter sports we offer the possibility of booking equipment. Poiana Brasov resort has slopes of Olympic level with tracks of over 20 km in length.
